Shoes and sneakers
Check both sides, toe shape, heel, sole, stitching, size label, and any visible measurement.
Pre-save checklist
A seven-point check gives every saved row a reason. It also makes uncertain rows easy to remove.
Keep a row only when it matches the item you want, shows the details needed for that category, includes usable fit information, and still makes sense after likely parcel weight is considered. You should be able to explain the reason in one sentence.
Check both sides, toe shape, heel, sole, stitching, size label, and any visible measurement.
Look for front and back shape, seams, print or embroidery detail, fabric texture, and a clear measurement chart.
Inspect dimensions, closures, strap joins, hardware, lining, edges, and close-up material detail.
A jacket row leads to the expected item, shows the front, back, lining, and zip, includes chest and length measurements, and gives enough information to compare price and likely parcel weight with two similar jackets.
A row says only “popular jacket,” uses one polished image, offers no measurement or fabric clue, and looks cheap only because the likely parcel weight has been ignored.
If you cannot explain what matched, what evidence you saw, and what still needs checking, do not save the row yet.

Match the exact item
Match the product, color, size, quantity, and any visible item identifier before judging the photos. Then look for the details that matter for that category. A close visual match is not enough when the label, option, or product code points somewhere else.
A gallery or checking tool can organize images, but it cannot decide whether those images belong to the row you opened. Keep the destination page beside the photos while you review them.
Fit before labels
First check that the chart applies to the exact product and option. Then note whether it uses body measurements or finished-product measurements. Measure a garment you already wear and compare like with like.
For shoes, check the seller’s units, foot-length method, insole notes, and any model-specific fit guidance. A conversion table is only useful when the original measuring method is clear.
Two review speeds
Use a 30-second pass to remove obvious mismatches: wrong category, dead or unexpected destination, no useful photos, missing measurements for a fit-sensitive item, or a price that refers to another option. Only candidates that survive should receive the full seven-point review. This keeps the checklist useful even when a sheet contains hundreds of rows.
For each finalist, record the exact item and option, the two strongest pieces of evidence, the largest unresolved question, likely packed-weight range, and the next action. A clear note might say: “Correct jacket and size chart; lining photos are useful; packed weight still needs confirmation before comparing with option B.”
If the note is mostly assumptions, move the row back to research rather than treating it as shortlisted.
